Sulfur content in diesel and gasoline is subject to stringent regulations worldwide, with many countries setting a maximum allowable level of 10 ppm S in automotive fuels. The S2 POLAR facilitates efficient monitoring of sulfur levels in refineries, covering a broad spectrum from Ultra-Low Sulfur (ULS) fuels at the lowest ppm range to percentage levels in crude oils.

The S2 POLAR adheres to key international standards for petrochemical products, including ASTM D7220, D4294, and ISO 13032. These standards are conveniently integrated into the instrument as pre-installed ‘One Button’ solutions for immediate and hassle-free analysis.

The S2 POLAR excels in sulfur (S) analysis across a spectrum ranging from diesel to crude oils, encompassing both continuous process control for higher sulfur levels in refineries and norm-compliant Ultra-Low Sulfur (ULS) analysis of final products.

In alignment with international sulfur norms such as ASTM D7220, D4294, and ISO 13032, the S2 POLAR ensures compliance with industry standards.

Its capacity to simultaneously measure multiple elements, including critical elements for process control such as Ni, V, Fe, and Cl, makes the S2 POLAR a singularly effective instrument to meet the analytical demands of refineries.

 

Additionally, the S2 POLAR is well-suited for norm-compliant analysis of additives in lubricating oils, following ASTM D6481 and ASTM D7751, covering elements like Mg, P, S, Cl, Ca, Zn, and Mo. It also extends its analytical capabilities to elements in edible oils or palm oils.

The S2 PUMA Series 2, equipped with a single-position manual loading system, shares the technical

advantages present in both the S2 PUMA Series 2 XY Autochanger and S2 PUMA Series 2 Carousel. It provides an unc omplicated sample handling solution designed for low sample volumes, and it is compatible with the efficient HighSense™ detectors and user-friendly TouchControl™ interface. In the absence of a touchscreen, remote control or external PC operation is achievable using the SPECTRA.ELEMENTS instrument control software.

S2 PUMA Series 2 – Carousel

Achieve rapid sample analysis within minutes for various sample types, including solid, fused bead, pressed pellet, loose powder, liquid, and bulk materials. Simply load sample batches using the EasyLoadTM tray or place bulk samples directly into the chamber. The S2 PUMA Series 2 features the largest sample chamber, measuring 450 x 420 x 100 mm. Its carousel tray accommodates mixed batches, holding up to 12 samples of 32, 40, or 51.5 mm in diameter or up to 18 samples of 40 mm in diameter.The S2 PUMA Series 2 Carousel stands out as the ultimate versatile benchtop EDXRF analyzer, catering to a wide range of sample types and sizes.

S2 PUMA Series 2 – Mapping-Stage

The S2 PUMA Series 2, equipped with a mapping stage, simplifies the process of multi-spot quality monitoring. This feature allows for the precise quantification of the elemental composition of a sample or the thickness of a coating with high accuracy and spatial resolution, reaching as fine as 1 mm. The linear motion-drive ensures accurate and reproducible positioning of the sample, and its actual position can be documented using the integrated HD camera.

 

By incorporating the mapping stage, the S2 PUMA Series 2 expands its application capabilities to include semiconductors and coatings, particularly where spatial resolution is a critical factor.

S2 PUMA Series 2 – XY Autochange

In the realm of benchtop EDXRF units for WDXRF sample handling, the S2 PUMA Series 2 XY Autochanger stands out. It features a 20-position sample tray along with a sample grabber equipped with liquid sample detection.

This instrument is well-suited for scenarios involving larger sample volumes in a production line setting. In such environments, the S2 PUMA Series 2 can be efficiently operated using the integrated and user-friendly TouchControl™ touchscreen.
